Kids get competitive with parents at PTFA skittles evening.
The John Willmott Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) recently hosted a “Skittles Night”. More than 120 people enjoyed a very lively and competitive evening.
This took place in the school hall on Friday 22nd February. The evening started at 7.30pm. As well as skittle alleys there were a number of other “pub-type” games available and a raffle.
All children needed to be be accompanied by an adult. Sandwiches and nibbles were available (included in the price of the ticket). Soft drinks, tea and coffee were available throughout the evening as well as a bar facility.
These type of events are always great fun and the PTFA events help raise money to fund, for example, the purchase of an additional mini-bus for the school.
Shelly Feaver, PTFA chair said
"This event was a runaway success. The children enyoyed it as much as the parents, who in turn felt the pressure of competing against members of their own family!
Shelly went on to say
"We will certainly be doing this again in the future - it has been one of our most popular events."
