PTFA events provide musical showcase


Nathan at John Willmott School PTFA quiz nightJohn Willmott School in Sutton Coldfield have a wealth of talented youngsters in the ranks - some of whom regularly perform at PTFA events.

There aren't many venues when a race night is punctuated by such a wide variety of musical styles as occurred at the recent PTFA race night. Genres varied from rock to songs from the musicals.

An early performance was provided by Nathan Birdi - pictured on the right - (year 12) who sang and played one of his own compelling compositions.

An equally powerful performance was provided by Lianne Morgan-Ewing and Alison Meek (both year 13). Their duet featured the Celine Dion classic "My heart will go on" enhanced by Alison's sensitive piano playing.

South Pacific at John Willmott School PTFAA lively tempo was introduced by female members of the forthcoming school production of "South Pacific" who insisted "I'm going to wash that man right out of my hair". The full performance will follow in a few weeks.

Finally, "The Flood" a year 8 and 9 three piece played a variety of rock classics.
